I've just put server on my W2K laptop, and you're right ... no log file!
You can tell I've only played with Unix VNC, can't you!
Dug around in the forum history and it seems there's a registry change to
make. Check it out at

specifically
DebugLevel
DebugMode
If it was me, I'd being inclined to keep a low debug level on all the time,
so when something goes wrong, there's some thing to look at!
The log file is in your system32 directory (in my case, d:\winnt5\system32)
and is called WinVNC.log
Set DebugLevel to 8 initially, and then look at the log after you get
kicked out.
