I would also like to see this. It may be difficult for some of the
metropolitan subscribers to believe, but there are quite a few locations in
the US where 24K to 26K constitutes a good connection. I think my employer
has a facility in each one of them;>) Even where I live in NJ, the
availability of cable and/or adsl is at least 1 year away (I'm looking at
Starband as an alternative - anyone here had experience with vnc and/or
zebedee over a relatively fast but high-latency dish connection?) While I
regard VNC as workable under those conditions, the adjective "barely" comes
quickly to mind. Making vnc just a bit snappier would probably overcome the
slight reluctance some of my fellow support techs have shown for using it.
