As I said in a posting earlier today, I have been somewhat surprised by the reaction to my attempts to create a VNC newsgroup. Several list members however have offered some good advice. Specifically, the suggestion has been made that a Straw Poll be taken regarding the VNC Newsgroup issue. While I really think that a Newsgroup will serve many more people than this list can, I do not want to force the newsgroup idea on this list if the majority of this list opposes the creation of such a group. Therefore, I will prepare a Straw Poll listing several options, along with some reasonable rules (we do not want a repeat of the problems Florida had this past fall). I will post this Straw Poll later this week and again next week and ask members to e-mail their votes to me (unless someone else wants to compile the votes). I will then post the vote totals, along with the e-mail address of each member of and how they voted, to this list. I will abide by the results of this straw poll.
