The same thing happened to me on Windows98. I had to start the VNC service
in App mode. Once it prompted me for the password there, it seemed to save
it.

Subject: First Time User Question
How can I set the password to a default value for all Users of my NT4.0 Box?
Whenever I restart the box I have to rekey the password in the WinVNC
current user properties before I can connect remotely????
