I have not found a method in which a VNCViewer session would be able to view an existing X session ran by a user. This is not a problem with the Windows VNC Server as you can only see one desktop at a time. I hope this helps. How about x0rfbserver (or whatever it's called)? This attaches to a running X session and serves the display like WinVNC, rather than creating it's own desktop like Xvnc.
