Mario:
Hello! A thought for you:
>I get a "java.net:connect exception:connection refused" error when
> I am connecting to a vcn server.
Yes, try this: telnet to the vnc server you're trying to
connect with. Specifically: "telnet aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd 5900" where
aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd is the IP addreess, and 5900 is if you use display-0
(which most everyone does).
What you *should* see is a connection, and then a
line which looks like:
RFB 003.003
If you get this far, then everything on the server side
is cool, and any problems you're having are client-side related.
For instance, in your web-browser, you may have Java extensions
disabled. Or you may be behind a firewall which only allows the
traditional services thru (HTTP, SMTP, etc).
Good luck; please share any progress updates!
