Hi, I'm currently using win me on a small LAN of 4 home made systems, I use VNC both internally and externally, but I can only connect externally to my main machine which I have setup as my ICS gateway (both Java and viewer work fine, if a little slow over my gateways shared 56k. I know that in order to connect to my other machines directly I need to use my external IP (66.x.xx.xxx:forwared port) the only problem is I do know how to forward ports. My internal IPs are: Main (192.168.0.1) secondary machine (192.168.0.2) and so on for the rest of the systems. Now the question, How do I forward the ports and after I forward them will I have to go into my ICS systems registry to open up the ports (already did that for 5800 and 5900, it should not be tough to copy the reg-keys for the other 58xx and 59xx ports I need to open).
