Do you have any apps open that monitor network traffic? I use BlackICE on
several NT servers and the newest version of BlackICE has idiot lights to
indicate outbound and inbound network traffic. When I launch VNC viewer to
get into these servers, they go to 100% cpu utilitization until I close the
Blackice user window.

Subject: WinVNC eats up the CPU......

I'm running WinVNC server on a Windows 2000 Pro workstation. It works
fine and is installed as a service. The only problem I see is that it
consumes the balance of the CPU every time I access it remotely. It does
not matter if I'm a few 100 feet away on a 100 Mbps pipe or 20 Miles away
over a CATV internet connection and a VPN tunnel.

Am I missing something?
