Hmmmm, Well that is what I get for trying to simplify the problem and not
disclose the exact passwords that I was attempting to use.
After further investigation, I have determined that the program only
respects the first eight characters of whatever is entered in either
password location (either client or server) with regard to access. Any
additional entry is then ignored.
Regarding your question of platform: Windows 2000 and Windows 98.
