As I said in my last mail, you *MUST* use a line like
ssh -L10901:localhost:10901 <remotehost>
and NOT use:
ssh -L 10901:<remotehost>:10901 <remotehost>
Note that <remtoehost> is the name of the remote machine and localhost is
"localhost", the literal name, not the name of the local machine!
