When using VNC on Windows 2000 (here SP2) the following behavior occurs: 1. When running VNC normal as program an icon is shown in the taskbar. VNC runs, but there seems to be a performance problem, the mouse pointer moves not smooth but interrupted regardless of the listener is in view-only mode or not. 2. When running VNC as a service, first after booting the behavior is the same as in 1. When stopping VNC via the taskbaricon an then restarting the service via control panel, no icon occurs in the taskbar and now the mouse moves very smooth as it does under normal circumstances. Who can explain these differences in performance?
