SSH's tunneling mechanism is done using a TCP forwarding mechanism. So
even NT should be capable of handling it, since no piping is involved. You
might even be able to build OpenSSH under CygWin.

At the moment, I'm thinking of using RC5. However, I'll be designing the
protocol so that additional ciphers and/or key-exchange mechanisms can be
introduced as required.

One thing I can't figure out at the moment is whether the patented nature
of RC5 is a barrier to its' use in a GPL'd system like VNC. I doubt it,
since there is an RFC on the cipher (from which I obtained the algorithm,
and which did not mention any restrictions), and also the distributed.net
system uses it quite freely. I'd be really grateful if anyone with better
info could clear this one up for me...
