I suspect Mindterm provides a cleaner solution, so maybe you
should try that first.

But if you like, you can start by setting up
http://www1.tip.nl/~t515027/brandgang/ and testing it with your
(Socks) proxy. Then feel free to mail me for the VNC client.

I strongly recommend you talk to your sysadmin first though...
