Hello Matt,

I figured this out this weekend.

first I changed following Registry Key as follows.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default]
"AuthRequired"=dword:00000000

Changes take affect after restarting the vnc service

(net stop winvnc - net start winvnc)

Then change the password over the the vnc/Admintools 
(in the programs folder) ...
