Hi all, 1.) I am using VNC viewer v3.3.3 R3 under Windows NT server 4.0 SP6a. It works quite well but it is annoying that the viewer does not show the frame during the dragging of a window. When clicking in the title bar, holding down the mouse button and moving the cursor some graphic cards show the entire window, other ones show only an empty frame what is nevertheless important to help the user to position the window.
Unfortunately VNC viewer does not show this frame. It is a bit strange because other actions with a pressed mouse key work very well, e.g. selecting an item in a hierachical menu. I tried various settings in the VNC properties and in the registry but I achieved no improvement. Unfortunately this problem is not mentioned in the FAQ. 2.) Another problem is the improvement of the window refresh during the scrolling of a window. I found the registry keys concerning the particular applications under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL\VNCHooks\Application_Prefs. As far as an application is registered there I can improve the refresh during the scrolling. Unfortunately some applications open different windows. The registry parameter use_GetUpdateRect applies only to one these windows. May be I can try to add additional keys to this registry tree but first I want to know if there is any possiblity to change this parameter in a global way for all applications. It is a bit strange to provide such a parameter for single applications but not for the system as a whole. This problem is also not mentioned in the FAQ.
