I would like to initiate a connecting from W98 to RH7.2, with Gnome started.
I'd like this to be started when the Linux boxs starts. I installed
vncserver from the RH7.2 distro.

I've modified /root/.vnc/xstartup to remove the xterm and twm lines and
replaced with gnome-session.

1) I would like the geometry for all displays to be 800x600 and think I need
to modify /etc/rc5.d/S91vncserver start() section below. Am I on the right
lines?

"su ${display##*:} -c \"cd ~${display##*:} && [ -f .vnc/passwd ] &&vncserver
:${display%%:*}-geometry 800x600\""

2) vncserver is started as part of runlevel 5, and it creates a
/tmp/.X11-unix/X0 file but I get "Failed to connect to server" if I attempt
to get to display 0 using IP address:0. It requires me to login and manually
start vncserver (defaults to display 1) before I can actually connect to the
Linux vncserver.

I've read the web documentation, the manual pages and my archive of this
list but I can't seem to find anything that covers these. Can I get a hint
where to continue my problem diagnosis.

Thanks MadMagician
