Hi. What is the best configuration (Zlib, JPEG, 8bit) for a low
bandwidth connection ?
I did some tests (using tightVNC for Windows, a dialup/modem
connection at 56Kbits, 1024x768 and maximized browser pointed
at slashdot.org) and it seems that:
- the best configuration is Zlib and 8 bits,
- JPEG is only useful when not using 8 bits.
