Let me know if you run into any implementation issues. I spent a great deal
of time using VNC on the iPAQ several months ago. I also integrated the
wireless LAN adapter (802.11b), so my iPAQ has wireless access to email and
VNC within the reach of my wireless LAN.

The StrongARM version of VNC was missing some features I would have liked.
I don't remember all of them but: full-screen mode (we modified the server
application to fit on the iPAQ VNC screen but can't get rid of the scroll
bars) and server-side scaling (a nifty feature found in the Palm port but
not in the StrongARM port). There is a 3rd party utility available that
will rotate your iPAQ screen 90 degrees so its aspect ratio is closer to a
PC screen.

One big fat hole you should be aware of: If you power down your iPAQ (or if
it powers itself down in power save mode) while VNC is connected, when you
power the unit back up, the applications (VNC) think they are still
connected, but they are not. They eventually discover this and then you
must reconnect. This also applies to email -- it loses the connection to
the mail server.
