Greetings - I am having a problem that I have not been able to research in the list archives - help would be greatly appreciated.
I have VNC Server running on Intel Windows2000 and can successfully use VNC Viewer on both WindowsNT and Linux (Red Hat 6.2) to connect to the Win2000 Server. When I try to connect to the Win2000 Server using the VNC Viewer on Solaris8, I get a successful connection but am left with a partially formed viewer screen that is mostly plain grey. An observer at the server machine reports that the mouse is responding to remote movements, so the basic connection seems sound. I have tried various permutations of Viewer parameters for pixel and depth mapping, display size, etc. I can't seem to get anything but a grey screen. This problem seems to be the opposite of the one that is often brought up on this forum - namely a Wndows based viewer connecting to a Unix server. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance - Joel Lieberman __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
