Yes. Open the Appearance control panel, go to the Desktop tab, click on the offending picture and click "Remove Picture". You might also want to select a flat pattern (I like 'Azul Dark') while you're there. In a future release of ChromiVNC, I might be able to implement an encoding which handles photographs better, such as JPEG. Don't hold your breath though, it'll take a while.
