After having gone through the documentation a few times, Michael, I would have to say that the method currently used for configuring many things in WinVNC is internally self-consistent and logical - and in practice is difficult enough to apply that as you say, " Sometimes it works, mostly it does not".
I learned during the ConnectPriority exchange several of us were involved in with Tracy Millar. When I fired off an email to someone who knew quite a bit more about it than I did, he replied very quickly, pointing out that it was covered in the documentation correctly. Calculating what goes where can be done in a straightforward fashion by an algorithm; not so much so by people. I think a decent, intuitive configuration interface is a good idea for WinVNC; a key part of something like that should also be showing the resultant *effect* of the applied settings. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday/2002 February 05 08:19 Subject: Re: Remove Wallpaper : I get poor results with the "RemoveWallpaper" option.
