I'm trying to determine if when running a VNC server on Linux it is preferable to use GNOME or KDE. At issue is that I also want to be able to use the Linux machine directly via GNOME or KDE (which could be different than what I choose for the VNC server). I'd also want to be able to run *multiple* VNC servers from the Linux machine, so I'd have multiple gnome-session and/or startkde sessions running simultaneously.
Does anyone know if GNOME or KDE is preferrable from this VNC multiple-session perspective? I'm used to doing this kind of thing all the time on Solaris 8 with CDE (dtwm) without any problems. -- -Kurt Lloyd, [EMAIL PROTECTED], (978) 960-6276 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
