Yeah, it's great isn't it! Can you imagine any other software being that old
and still that stable and no need to alter all that time! Think of it, What
functionallity has been added to Windows'98 to make it WindowsME? What has
been added to NT4 to make it W2K? It's mostly funny stuff and patches but no
core functionallity has been added. There you see: VNC does not need any
patches and no funny stuff too.

That's left outside VNC. It just runs over your network as any other
application. VPN is something for the network, not for the application. Does
Netscape need any configuration to run over VPN? The less applications
mangle with secure connections, the better the security. VNC just uses the
secure connection, it's no secure connection configurator! From the vnc
point of view, this vpn or secure connection is regarded funny stuff.
