In your first mail you indicate that machines have an internal and an
external IP address. Do they have more than 1 network connection? (network
card, moden-with-dialout, ...) Then each network connection has it's own ip
address. Use the ones trough wich they are connected.

Your network addresses indicate that if the networks are connected over the
internet, there is sure some address translation (nat) on the route. The
10.x.y.z addresses are the 'localhost' variant of a class A network and
therefor never propagated over the internet. I think the 192.168.u.v
addresses are the 'localhost' addresses for a class B network, for which the
same applies. Both addresses are never propagated over routers (except where
explicitly configured).

It's verry hard to solve your problems. You need to figure out the route
from one machine to the other and at least see what nat is used. Check the
archive for all information on nat and vnc. Then you have to convince the
network operators that they need to open the route for you since most nat is
done in firewals.

Best tip: have the network administrator at your office solve the problem.
