I really hope this post doesn't pop up 3 times - I posted twice yesterday and neither time did it make it into the mailing list.
I have the next piece of my prototype tool for automatically monitoring VNC services on a LAN available for download now. This is a small WSH-based port scanner. It's been configured for common VNC port checking on a range of IPs, but can be generalized to do more than that. At present it just echoes out port status data in a running list. The "big" picture with this component is that on LANs with workstations running NT or WMI on Win9x, it will be used as the first step in connecting remotely to gather VNC config data. My intention is to make it possible to determine the machine specific settings and the local default user settings for an entire subnet from a single session. The link to it is http://www.bittnet.com/winremote/vnc_tools.htm and scroll down to Scan4VNC. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
