Hi I have tried checking the archives for info on this but without success (the search facility doesn't seem to be working at the moment ...)
I have the following setup: * VNC server 3.3.3r2 running on Solaris 2.8 * VNC viewer on Win 2K * Java swing app displaying to VNC X server When the app draws a window, quite often (75% or more) the window is only partially filled in: the bottom 10% or so is left undrawn. As this contains the part of the screen with navigation buttons, I find it hard to use the application ;-) The app in question is Install Shield's ISMP 4.5.1 Java Multi Platform Installer, which is being used to install another application on the Solaris box. I find that if I kill the app, and restart (say three or four times) eventually I will get enough of the window drawn to expose the nav buttons and so I can proceed with the install. Interestingly, once the first screen is OK, subsequent screens seem to work just fine. This problem doesn't manifest itself on the normal X server - just the VNC one. Is this a known issue with a solution or workaround? I suspect that this might be some general issue with Java swing generated windows, but the sample set is limited (just one!) thanks chris [demime 0.97b removed an attachment of type text/x-vcard which had a name of jobson.vcf] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
