I have encountered this to. It was a registry issue. What I did to resolve the problem was remove the winvnc3 branch from the current_user/software/orl registry hive. Then set the default(system) vnc password via start button -> Programs -> VNC -> Administrative tools -> Show default settings.
Once the service was restarted, I could lock, log off and back on without loosing connection. Steve -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Brian J. I have found that as long as I do not lock the desktop and not use a screen saver, it works. I am not sure exactly why that is since I am able to lock the desktop on my Win2K server without problems. But that is how I have solved that problem. Hope that helps. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Larissa Overbey Sent: Wednesday, April 24, 2002 7:47 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Error with VNC I have installed vnc on a w2k pro pc. Does any one have an idea what might be the problem?
