We are running a homegrown application that monitors a one-off private
microwave network. It simply displays events/problems on the screen (there
is no user interraction). This application runs on a Win98 desktop and we
use VNC so that multiple technicians can view this application at the same
time.

My first question is: What is the hard limit to the number of clients that
can connect in viewonly/shared mode? I think I have read in the archive
that this may be 100 due to the port limitation. Am I correct?

My second question is: Absent a hard limit at what rate does the systems
performance badly degrade and what resource is affected by adding multiple
clients (i.e. memory, cpu, network bandwidth, etc)?

Thanks for your help.
