I sent a message to the LW list at one point
hoping to open a discussion of
the complexity-level of the proposed LW spec extentions
but basically got booed and hissed at ;^}
it seems overly complex to me
for a "first cut"

I am sorry to say I agree...
moving things behind what are essentially closed doors
and out of the www-vrml list
is IMHO a bad idea...
but I try to live with the things I cannot change ;^}
I want to spend some time this weekend
digesting the various suggestions and the discussion
on the issues surrounding "persistence"...
I will try to write up some sort of summary
of what I have "heard" so far
