just wanted to let you guys know that the EAI seems to work again
in the beta of CosmoPlayer 2.1 for Irix (with the SGI build of
communicator 4.0.7). i've tried out VNet, and it works perfectly so
far. it doesn't work with the netscape builds of 4.0.7 or 4.5 as
yet (crashes on startup).

since CP 2.1beta also supports the JSAI, the JSAI version of VNet
partially works; the UI comes up (after a number of security
dialogs), but then hangs on connect. i will investigate further;
this could be a problem with VNet rather than CP.
