Dear VNet list members, this is a pre-announcement for your calendars. The
following event will bring together many developers and visionaries
building virtual world platforms and biologically inspired environments in
software. We hope this will catalyze relationships, projects, and
application concepts. We will soon be posting a proposed program framework
for your comment, and providing contact details for the co-chairs and web
development team for your direct feedback.

Please note that interactive discussions on the event and its program will
be taking place on the OWorld list, so if you want to partake in those,
please get signed up today at:
http://www.ccon.org/lists/oworld.html

We hope to see you at this seminal event in November, or online connecting
remotely, if we support that.

Biota.org and NASA Ames Research Center will be co-hosting Digital Biota 3:
OWorld Open Source Virtual Worlds Developers Conference at the NASA Ames
Research Center at Moffet Field in Silicon Valley, California on November
4th and 5th. The themes of this event will be the architectures,
applications, current and past examples, and future directions for open
source virtual worlds hosted on the Internet. The goals of the conference
are to catalyze the open source virtual worlds movement and cross-pollinate
it with biological and emergent properties insights from the Digital Biota
and Artificial Life fields.

This will be the third annual Biota conference, now combined with the first
OWorld open source virtual worlds special interest group event.
