Oh Bravo !

Excellent criticism, I would have to say someone read and enjoyed. I would
agree that the system is not so much storytelling and story-capable, however
the demonstration of the project falls short of the theory due to time, I
would argue that as the web of interconnected entities grows, and the number
of possible actions ( Character // A... ) increases towards infinite (for
the given set of causal objects which in fact is limited) that the illusion
of free will on the part of the character can be obtained. If this can be
achieved, then the possibility exists of storytelling through the
manipulation of the events and relationships between them.

LIkewise, as you say the characterization element of this system falls
"flat" (in part due to the complete lack of avatars =) although roleplaying
could certainly occur through a chat interface and thus offer dramatazation
if used correctly. It is an interesting debate, however, which side of the
objective / subjective line that characterization falls upon. If two people
perform the same invocative actions with different evocative inferences, it
is not the same action certainly, but does that need to be captured within
the system or can that exist as part of the users semantic experience ?

Very interesting, and thought provoking response. Thank you for reading,
this will only continue (so if your'e bored by this set your mail filters
<G> ).

PS I saw Star Wars last night. I would agree it came off flat, but it did
have such wonderful unrealized potential. It was almost as if it was Star
Wars in the original sense, then someone else wrote parts of it and
interspersed them with the original elements. Odd.
