hmm, i've never seen this error. is it possible that you were loading
the VNet page from a local (file://) URL? if so, this could conceivably
be the problem -- cosmo security gets in the way here. also, the
last time i tested VNet with IE it was the JVM from IE4, not anything
newer.
if you're not already, you could try running personal web server on your
machine, and loading the VNet page from there , using a URL of the
form http://your.machine.name/.../EAIVNet.html.
