Hi Pablo,

You can do it in Javascript.

below is a copy of a letter I recently sent to Melinda Rackham on this
subject:

If you go to http://www.cosmosoftware.com and have a look at the source
code for the main.html page it has one of the most complete vrml sniffers
in there that I have seen. (Hmmm... I just tried cosmosoftware but got
nothing.)

Alan Taylor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote a cool vrml sniffer some time
back with a complete description of the process. I will email you a copy as
he says in the description that people are welcome to grab it. Mind you, it
is showing its age a little now because it no longer diagnoses my setup
properly, but this is probably just a simple matter of tweaking some values
in the script.

J Fairley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made probably the best vrml sniffer to
sample visitors' setup on entry to a site which collected statistics on
browser setups. I don't know if the site is still going, and I doubt that
he still works at Platinum (they fired pretty-much all their vrml staff
early this year). As there is no copyright notice in the file and Platinum
got out of the vrml business, I will hazard a guess that it is cool to send
this file to you. I think it was at: http://www.megsinet.com/~jfairley but
no longer is.

Best wishes,

        - Miriam
