running .exe file from VRML

Hi again;

I hope anybody knows the answer to this:

I would like to now if is possible to launch a windows application from VRML, (for example, Outlook Express, or any .exe file)

I will also ask again about if is possible to manage a VRML world from a java EAI applet that is not in the same HTML page.
