Hi everybody,

I hope you VNetters don't mind me posting this meeting notice here. It is
actually relevant because I want to make the next version of AWABA use VNet.

The first meeting for 2000 will be on the 25th of January and will be held
inside AWABA, a new virtual world sponsored by the Australian Government
for all the kids of Australia. It was launched late last year. I hope the
discussion will range fairly widely, but cover subjects such as:

        - What is the best way to build in VR?
        - How do you create fiction in VR?
        - What is the future of VR hardware?
        - What is the future of business for VR?

To attend the meeting you will need to go to http://www.awaba.com and
download the setup program. Running that will install the AWABA browser on
your machine and an icon on your desktop. When online you can double-click
that icon and it will take you to AWABA. Unfortunately you will need a
machine running or emulating Microsoft Windows (Macs can use SoftWindows or
VirtualPC), but I am hoping the next version of AWABA sometime later this
year will work across all platforms.

Don't forget:

The meeting is on Tuesday 25th of January (always the 4th Tuesday)
                        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
start 7:00pm Australian Eastern daylight saving time (8am GMT/UTC,
that's midnight in west coast USA or 3am in east coast USA)

Please help the association by promoting this event! Thank you. Hope to see
you there.
