here's something i've been messing around with for a while, that i
wouldn't mind you guys having a look at:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/stephen.white/dune-0.1-win32.zip
it's a small (~400K) authoring tool for win95/98/NT (i also have a
version for linux/*nix, but i haven't put it up yet). here are some
of the features:
- hardware accelerated through OpenGL
- supports many VRML97 nodes
- supports GIF & jpeg textures (but not PNG as yet)
- tree view with drag&drop
- route view for GUI routing
- channel view for animation
- unlimited undo
some weak spots:
- no scripting
- incorrect transparency (no sorting)
- weak PROTO support (they will load, and can be edited, but that's
about it)
- no docs yet
although there is no documentation, i'm sort of curious how
intuitive it is, if perhaps you guys can figure it out without docs :)
it also seems to crash on startup on at least one NT 4.0 machine.
anyways if you have some time, take a look at it and tell me what you
think.
