Dear Vnetters;
I have released the initial version of our Multicast
VNet Protocol (MVIP) Shared Virtual World code, along with
shared Audio Integration.
This code allows a number of people to enter a shared
multicast world, and to communicate with others that
are close in distance.
The goal is to allow dynamic multicast conferencing to
happen - this is our first step along the way.
Not only will this happen, it is fun, too!
MVIP uses RAT, from University College London, and ideas
from VNET, and is written in Java. It should run on any
platform, but, for now, Linux is the preferred platform,
and FreeWRL is the preferred VRML viewer.

Have a look, try it, and tell me what you think.

If windows is the answer, it must have been a stupid question.
