The deadline for paper submissions to the 7th VR-SIG conference is near!
In
addition to new publications, I would also welcome authors of papers
presented at the Brest conference to resubmit so that any of the UK
audience
who didn't make it across the channel have the benefit of their
presentations.

THE SEVENTH UK VR-SIG 2000 CONFERENCE
The Virtual Environment Laboratory, University of Strathclyde,
19/20th September 2000.

Conference Information
----------------------
The conference is spread over two days, with one day for paper and
poster
presentations, while the other is for workshops. More information will
be
posted closer to the conference date. The conference will be chaired by
Malcolm Lindsay, VEL Manager.

Call for Papers
-------------------
High quality papers are sought describing recent and novel research in
the area of Virtual Environments. The conference is primarily concerned
with research in the UK, however high quality papers from international
research groups are welcome.

Conference topics include :

* Human Factors
* System Architecture
* 3D Interaction
* Distributed Virtual Environments
* Virtual Environment Applications
* Tele-operations
* Simulation of Physical Realism
* Multimodal Interfaces
* Augmented Reality

Extended abstracts of 1000 - 2000 words are invited on the above and
related topics. The deadline for the extended abstracts is 21st July
2000.
