Hey all (and 'Hi' Bruce)

Just so you know I'll prolly poke my nose down the hall and think about these revisions with Jeff (or at least he asked me too).  Using the Shout3D stuff would be very interesting I'll take a pop over there. Also I think on the revision list when Jeff and I talked about it was support for EAI v2 as well as v1 (Jeff did we opt for a command line switch or autodetect per client? can't remember).

I wonder if we could make it work with Shockwave 3D ? VNet Xtra... hmmmm.... thoughts. Interesting concept to mess about with.  I'm not sure if we want to integrate support for the X3D stuff coming out of the WG's now, I'm not sure how stable that stuff is, or if anyone is developing against it in production ( ?? )

Anayway, interesting suggestion. I have my own thoughts on bandwidth and efficiency I'll post sometime soon, still noodling through them.  I think I have some ideas with the firewall audience as well, I have to test this and see if it works.  Take care all =)

Subject: Re: Vnet Revisions and bandwidth efficiency

We chose to attach VNET to the Shout3D and Anfy3D clients, much lighter
weight solution than trying to connect VNET to a VRML browser, and the all
java solutions dont require installation and have adequate framerates for
small meeting spaces (it can be tried out at www.meet3d.com)

Just my two cents Bruce,
