Hi,
I need a SIP router to steer calls though our core. All its going to do is
redirect calls by sending 3xx responses to every INVITE.
What do you think of Kamailio?
Does it play well with Broadsoft and Acme?
Have you seen any better freeware out there?
Thanks,
David

We run Kamailio in production and are huge fans of the infrastructure.
I can wholeheartedly recommend it and I'll tell you that a lot of very big
infrastructures run on it.
Acme has a lower barrier of entry and setup time, but you'll pay for it,
especially now that Oracle owns them. Nothing against Oracle or Acme per se but
licensing from oracle isn't cheap.
Hope that helps. I 100% recommend Kamailio.
Cheers,
Joshua

I have a customer who has done quite a bit of testing with Kamailio as
registrar/redirect server with Acme at the border (with
registration-caching). They had good luck with it.
Disclosure: I am an Acme/Oracle employee.
