What makes you believe that the original batteries were manufactured in
1999? Just because they have the number 99 on them does convince me that
they were made in 1999. I would not assume that is true unless the battery
data sheet indicates the format of the date code.

I personally find it hard to believe that Agilent would fit 5 year old
batteries in a piece of new equipment.

I asked Keysight for the date of the batteries they sell, they could not

To me, fitting almost 5 year old batteries from eBay in a 3458A is not the
greatest idea. You know nothing about their history - how they have been
stored, whether they are fakes. Whether they are rejects.

Others on the list should be aware that Miguel is in Mexico, so Digikey for
example would not ship batteries to Mexico.
