Petar, We have 3 backup mailservers that are setup as backups for their domain , 2 of which are on different networks. We also have 4 DNS servers all with their records for primary and secondary. Our network is not going to be affected by this upgrade and all servers will be visable. I thought that if their mailserver was off the air , ours (backups) would accept the email on their behalf but after 3 hours they (senders) would start getting NDRs. We have their mailserver in the DNS records as MX 5, then our backups as 10,20 and 30 in priority. Do I need to change anything here ? Are you saying that if we disconnect their mailserver the email will just sit and wait indeffinatly on our mailservers untill their server is back on air ? If so thank you for the help and offer, it will make my life easier if this is the case.
