Hi Bill, We had this port blocked in both directions. Opening it up on our border router gave allowed us to telnet to the greeting. Still trying to work out whether the port is being opened by us or by the remote side. My syslog server which is configured to log all blocked packets is not showing any 1028 UDP blocks which is strange. I am also dubious as to why it is needed. But it must have some significance. MSN certainly isn't connecting back to RPC services on your Vopmail box. Is this a local (e.g. on box) firewall your refering to or a good old fashioned box upstream from your Vopmail install? Is the connection your seeing outbound to MSN, or inbound from them? Best, Bill ** To leave this list, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put the word "LEAVE" in the BODY of the email. ** To leave this list, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put the word "LEAVE" in the BODY of the email.
