The cache is a resolution cache, we record the IP's that were resolved positively by an RBL that way, it saves us a DNS request if we see that IP again. Note that tweaking the DNS timeout also helps. Finally, if you enable the high-performance DNS available in VOPMail 5.3 (I believe), it will also reduce the time it takes to process the multiple DNSBL checks (basically, at one point, the problems with Window's DNS resolver drove us to the point where we decided to write our own DNS resolver which is much faster). -- Yves Lacombe Vircom Technical Support Anti-SPAM & T4C Support ----- Original Message ----- Is that how it works?
