We are using Rodopi and do get a disconnect reason. Normally either
"User Requested", "Lost Carrier", or "Port Error". We still have not
found a cause for the "Port Error" disconnects. We have found replacing
the clients modems, normally fixes the problem.

Disconnect 43 is a PPP CHAP authentication failed. Disconnect 45 is PPP
LCP got terminate request from far end while LCP was in Open State, and
what this means is that the user had a standard, user initiated
disconnect.
