* This is the VOP Radius mailing list * That makes sense also... quick query of data of last minute...
I guess I need to know where that is stored and stuff like that. Or because it makes sense to pay someone to do it... Would someone like to be paid to write two query's for us? First would be a crude general search of the user data log, for investigatory purposes. A simple form allowing input of date range, user name, IP address, phone number called, phone number calling, City, State, ZipCode. Anything left blank would be wildcarded. It would be good if other entrys could be wildcarded also so phone numbers could be dones as "361345*" or "*2089" or Zip codes could be done as "784*" or whatever. It doesn't have to be pretty, just effective. The other thing would be a query as suggested by Ed, Reads last "30" seconds of database, exports data to port, with some filtering of undeeded data, sleeps, and reads again.from where it left off. Unless you've got some horrible network latency between your VOPRadius server and RODOPI SQL server, OR one (or both) servers are overloaded, it should be as "real time" as you can get. -----Original Message----- From: Cary Fitch [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, January 07, 2003 11:25 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [VOP RADIUS] How to get real time data.? * This is the VOP Radius mailing list * Well since you ask, I suppose I can. I am not arguing, just thinking out loud. I am not running Maxstat or other SNMP software now so I would have to do that, then take that output and parse it. I was wondering if I someone (Vircom?) would tell me a simple way to get the info from an existing source, (VOPradius), since it is already there. I may "just" rename the VOP accounting log to "parse.file" every minute, parse it, feed the data out to a port, erase the file, and do it again in 30 seconds. My long term data is in Rodopi database anyway, so I don't see that I am loosing anything. Anybody see excessive stupidity in this approach? (Don't be shy, speak up.)
