Going through a switch, but not on the public network. We always
install atleast 2 nics in all our servers.

1 for Internet Traffic and 1 for what we call back office traffic. The
back office traffic is for things like SQL traffic between servers, ftp
scripts between servers, Management Connections via VPN.

Dedicated meaning that you are going through a switch but instead using
a crossover cable nic to nic?
