If this is factual, and not just a rumour started by a conspiracy theorist it must increase the probability of dirty work at the crossroads quite considerably. I would have thought that statistics show that most murder-suicides occur when the people know each other - a domestic situation for example. What percentage of apparently random robbery murders finish up with the murderer committing suicide? I would guess the percentage is quite low - and the lower it is the, greater the probability that the murder was not a random killing. Tertullian wrote that the seed of the church is the blood of the martyrs. Even if Eugene didn't actually die for Truth, his life was certainly a witness (martyr) for Truth. Not everyone will agree with Horace (the poet, not the Vortexian) who wrote "Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori" but all must surely admire anyone who sacrifices his life in defence of Truth.
