Moin Terry! This is an interesting story. There was an old saw among boat owners and engineers in Alaska - Never Buy a Warm Water Boat. They were all convinced that a used boat that had spent a long time in warm water was more apt to wear out faster. This was purely based purely on anecdotal observation, and Alaska water never gets below 29 degrees Fahrenheit, but it may turn out to have at least some scientific basis.
